Two new candidates to be the next Hearts manager have emerged, according to a report.
The Jambos looked to have landed on their man to replace Steven Naismith on Friday with Norwegian Per-Mathias Høgmo the one they wanted to try and spark the team into life and away from the bottom of the Premiership.
But talks broke down, believed to be over high salary demands after he was on seven figures in his last post at J-League side Urawa Red Diamonds.
Former Blackpool and QPR boss Neil Critchley was also named as being in the frame.
However, there are two fresh figures being linked with the Tynecastle vacancy this morning.

Page and Gary Rowett in next Hearts manager frame
Those two names are ex-Wales manager Rob Page and former Birmingham boss Gary Rowett, according to The Scottish Sun.
Page is out of work after leaving his national team post earlier this year following seven years with the Welsh FA as under-21s and then first-team boss. Prior to that he had worked in the English lower leagues with Port Vale and Northampton Town.
Rowett is experienced in England having worked at Burton, Derby, Stoke and Millwall as well as the Blues, where he was in charge for a second, this time temporary, spell earlier this year.
Kalle Karlsson another Hearts option
Swedish coach Kalle Karlsson is another name in the frame for Hearts. The 42-year-old is in charge at Vasteras in his homeland and led them to promotion to the top flight last season, having taken over when they were near the bottom of the second tier.
Their first season back in the Allsvenskan since 1997 has been tough though and they sit bottom, looking destined for relegation.
Karlsson has previously managed Karlsbergs and Vasalunds before taking over at his hometown club.
The Jambos have been utilising Tony Bloom’s data analytics in theie search for a Naismith replacement with a deal between the pair close, but CEO Andrew McKinlay insisted the club would have their own input too.
