Ross County star happy with goal run as Staggies earn Rangers point

Rangers fan Jordan White made it three goals in three games against his heroes this season as Ross County bagged a late point in Dingwall, with the Staggies striker admitting Malky Mackay’s side deserved a point against the Gers.

White scored in the 25th minute after a howler from Allan McGregor gifted the hosts an equaliser, continuing his run of scoring in every game against Rangers so far this season.

The striker was happy at McGregor’s uncharacteristic mistake as he praised his Ross County teammates for not getting flustered despite going 1-0 then 3-2 down.

“Yes, I’m making a bit of a habit of it!” White said.

“That’s three times I’ve scored against them this season so it was good to get the goal and get a point in the end.

“My family are Rangers fans but I’m there to do a job and my family all support me.

“The goal was just a case of gambling a little. There was a bit of good play before it – I played it out to Joe Hungbo and I could see he was one against one and would get the cross in.

“I was just trying to make it into the box and thankfully for me McGregor’s made the mistake and I was there to tap it in.

“I thought we deserved a point. They’re a good team and they’re difficult to play against but we were disappointed with the goals we lost – though they were probably disappointed with the ones they lost as well.

“We stayed in the game, we didn’t get too flustered.

“When you’re in the game with a minute to go you always have a chance and thankfully it fell to us.”
