The agent of Kevin Nisbet has confirmed that Russian Premier League duo FC Krasnodar and Spartak Moscow have joined Celtic in trying to sign the Hibs striker.

Nisbet is being tracked north and south of the border, most prominently by Celtic amid mounting interest. But there is interest from abroad appearing too after Nisbet’s first season at Hibs broke him into the Scotland team for Euro 2020, Krasnodar and Spartak Moscow keen. The Easter Road club are said to want around £4 million for him.

Nicolas Nicholson, Nisbet’s agent, has confirmed interest in Russia as he remains in touch over his client’s options (RFN): “Krasnodar is really interested in Kevin. They first got in touch a few months ago, and we’ve been in touch ever since. Spartak Moscow made contact, we talked.”

English Championship team Birmingham City made a seven-figure bid for Nisbet in the January transfer window, prompting Nisbet to hand in a transfer request. He responded well to the move falling through but new speculation has presented itself this summer. Nisbet joined Hibs from Dunfermline last summer.
