Liverpool left-back and Scotland captain Andy Robertson has been voted into the PFA Premier League Team of the Year after a stellar season at Anfield.
Fresh off the back of a Champions League success in the 2018/19 campaign, Liverpool marched to the their first Premier League title in stunning style as runaway winners last term, an 18-point gap the bridge between Jurgen Klopp’s side and second place Manchester City at the end of the season.

Robertson played a big part in that, making 36 appearances with 12 assists from left-back. That form has earned him a spot in the PFA TOTY alongside four of his Liverpool teammates, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Scotland’s captain returns to domestic action this weekend when the Reds host Leeds United.
Robertson will go into the game off the back of a tough international break for Steve Clarke’s side.
Whilst no defeats were had, two disappointing performances in the 1-1 draw with Israel and 2-1 win over a weak Czech Republic side resulted in mixed reviews for the national team.
