Robertson took his usual place as Liverpool left-back during their 2-1 win over Sheffield United. It was a special game for him, making his 100th Reds appearance.

Since joining the Merseyside outfit from Hull City in 2017, Robertson has featured in an astonishing 77 wins from his 100 outings his red.

Perhaps more tellingly, he has won the Champions League and Premier League, awarded Scotland captaincy too due to his form and success on the domestic scene down south.

It’s a brilliant achievement for Scotland’s skipper. He could make himself a national team great next month as Steve Clarke’s side travel to Serbia.

A victory over them would be enough to book a place for Scotland at Euro 2020, which would be the country’s first major tournament since 1998.
