Men from Arsenal, Liverpool, Motherwell, QPR and more made themselves heroes in Belgrade on Thursday night.

Scotland secured their first major tournament spot in Serbia, winning a penalty shootout 5-4 thanks to a David Marshall stop. It left Liverpool man Andy Robertson in tears and the likes of Arsenal star Kieran Tierney and Motherwell’s Declan Gallagher jubilated.

It was a tactical masterclass in the first 89 minutes before Luka Jovic headed Serbia into extra time. It wasn’t the easiest route, but Steve Clarke’s side eventually got it over the line.

A nation was left in tears of joy after a major moment was achieved. Scotland now have Euro 2020 to look forward to next summer, two of the group games to be played at Hampden and another mouthwatering match against England at Wembley.

Many in the squad have aired their thoughts on how the night went. From Arsenal to Liverpool and more, it’s fair to say Clarke’s squad are in very high spirits. And rightly so.
