Scotland boss Steve Clarke has named his squad for a set of fixtures next week against Israel and two UEFA Nations League matches.

There’s another inclusion for Kieran Tierney after the Arsenal man’s return to Scotland duty last month whilst Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay returns after outings at centre-back last time out. Lyndon Dykes is rewarded for his form with another call-up whilst Hibs’ Ryan Porteous earns another senior call.

First up for Clarke is Israel in a Euro 2020 semi-final play-off match. Win that at Hampden October and Scotland will face either Norway or Serbia for a place at next summer’s tournament. To come after that though are UEFA Nations League matches against Slovakia and Czech Republic.

It would be the first time the country has qualified for a major tournament since 1998. Here are the men Clarke has picked to carry out these tasks.

Goalkeepers: Marshall (Derby County), McCrorie (Livingston), McLaughlin (Rangers)

Defenders: Cooper (Leeds United), Gallagher (Motherwell), McKenna (Aberdeen), O’Donnell (Motherwell), Palmer (Sheff Wednesday), Porteous (Hibs), Robertson (Liverpool), Taylor (Celtic), Tierney (Arsenal)

Midfielders: Armstrong (Southampton), Christie (Celtic), Fleck (Sheffield United), Fraser (Newcastle United), Jack (Rangers), McGinn (Aston Villa), McGregor (Celtic), McLean (Norwich City), McTominay (Manchester United)

Forwards: Burke (Sheffield United), Dykes (Queens Park Rangers), Patterson (Cardiff City), McBurnie (Sheffield United), Shankland (Dundee United)
