Former Aberdeen striker Scott Booth has admitted that he is unsure if Dons skipper Graeme Shinnie will sign a new contract with the Pittodrie side.
Shinnie has been one of the Dons’ players of the season, but his contract expires at the end of the season. So far he has not yet committed to a new deal, and Booth has admitted that he doesn’t know if the player will be at Pittodrie next season.

“He’s in a position where he will have suitors, without a doubt, and everyone has to go to make a decision based on their own circumstances” he told the Daily Record.
“The new stadium is coming, a new training ground as well. The club taking a step up. These things can help keep players but I’m unsure what Graeme will do.”

It would be a huge boost for the Dons if they could keep hold of Shinnie for another few seasons.
His form in recent weeks has been spectacular, including dominating Rangers in two Scottish Cup ties.

The player will miss the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic due to suspension. But Dons fans will be hoping that he will return for the final, should Aberdeen get there.
That could be Shinnie’s last game in a red shirt, but Dons fans and Derek McInnes will be hoping that’s not the case.
