Livingston captain Marvin Bartley has hailed the influence of Scott Tiffoney after a promising weekend display from the 22-year-old.
The attacker has had to be patient for his Livi chances but he got a big break at the weekend. He notched a goal and an assist as Gary Holt’s side claimed an impressive 2-0 win over St Johnstone.

Also starting at Celtic Park the week previous, Tiffoney has shown in recent matches he can help fill the vacant striker spot in West Lothian, vacated by Lyndon Dykes’ departure to QPR.
Bartley has hailed the attacker as the Livi captain commented on the team’s effort: “Scott Tiffoney got what he deserved in the game. He’s been very patient ever since I’ve been at the club. He’s always worked hard in training.
“We’ve said to Tiff that you have to use your body to hold the ball up. At times we’re going to need him to do that. Don’t let players go through you, and if they do then it needs to be a foul. He’s learning all the time.
“He gives us great pace going in behind and gives us something a bit different to Dyksey who was brilliant in the air and chased every ball. Tiff’s now doing the same.
“We play good football at one end and defend for our lives at the other. That’s something we’ve spoken about, we need to get better in defending. We go to Celtic Park, score two goals and still lose the game.
“People say I’ll give 110% but I’ll take 100! We know we aren’t great as individuals but we work hard as a team and do our jobs. Do your job and help your mate next to you and that’s our mindset, give 100% effort.”
