The League Cup last eight draw has been made, with St Mirren handed cup favourites Rangers and Hibs travelling to the Indodrill.
A weekend of drama unfolded before the quarter-finals draw. On Saturday, three seeded teams headed out before Sunday was even more shocking, Ross County eliminating holders Celtic before Falkirk fell short of providing an upset against Rangers in the other match, losing 4-0.
With the winners of the last four finals out the competition, this year’s tournament is now wide open for a new victor. Everyone involved will fancy their chances, with the likes of Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee United, Hearts, Kilmarnock and Motherwell all out.
Ties have now been confirmed. St Mirren have got another tough tie to deal with after beating Aberdeen, hosting Rangers. Alloa will take on the other side of Edinburgh following victory over Hearts as they take on Hibs. Livingston host Ross County and Dunfermline v St Johnstone in the other matches.
