Dundee United had some good news for their fans on Thursday. The club announced that top scorer Nicky Clark had signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The 29-year-old has scored 11 goals for the Tannadice club this season. Clark’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season. He was reportedly a target for city rivals Dundee. However, unlike Paul McMullan, who has decided to move to Dens Park from Tannadice, Clark has committed his future to Dundee United.
The player admitted that he was pleased to get the deal agreed to stay with the club.
“Really happy”
“I’m delighted to get the contract signed. I am really happy at the Club and have developed as a player in my time here. This is a good place to play football with a great dressing room group and excellent staff and facilities” he said.

Now that Clark has got his future at the club sorted, he can concentrate on helping Dundee United reach the top six of the Premiership. Perhaps a target of approaching 20 goals this season is achievable as well.
Some Dundee United fans on social media were quick to give their reaction to the news. The fans seemed delighted that Clark will be staying at Tannadice.
Fans seem pleased
One supporter claimed that the new deal was ‘well deserved’. Another proclaimed that the player has improved since he came to Tannadice.
