Hearts increased their lead at the top of the Championship to 15 points thanks to a 2-1 win over Dundee at Tynecastle. The win will be most welcomed by Hearts fans as it stops a run of draws that the team have recently been on.
Even though Hearts’ nearest rivals in the Championship – Raith Rovers – have three games in hand, the Tynecastle club’s lead at the top of the table does make it look as if it is only a matter of time until their return to the Premiership is confirmed.
Got the vital breakthrough
The player who got the vital breakthrough for Hearts in the first-half was midfielder Andy Halliday. He headed the ball home, giving the goalkeeper no chance. Armand Gnanduillet added a second goal in the second-half for the Tynecastle side. Although Jason Cummings pulled a goal back from the penalty spot Hearts won out in the end.

However, Halliday’s performance was notable as the player scored his third goal of the season. He will be hoping to add to that tally between now and the end of the season.
Some Hearts fans on social media were impressed with the midfielder’s performance in the game. One fan said that the player was ‘unreal’. Another supporter claimed that Halliday’s goal was ‘superb’.
The player will be hoping to add more goals to his tally
Robbie Neilson and the player will be hoping for some more moments like that before the end of the season. Halliday’s next opportunity to find the back of the net for Hearts will be next Saturday, when they take on Ayr at Tynecastle.

Here are some of the best reactions from social media to Halliday’s performance and goal:
