The going got tougher for Hearts fans in the Edinburgh derby as their city rivals Hibs put them to the sword at Tynecastle with a 2-0 win.
Hearts came into this match with just two wins from 20 in the league this term and without a win since beating St Mirren at Tynecastle. Their other victory though was against Hibs in Leith, so there were slim hopes of a big win heading into the game.

Jack Ross’ rejuvenated Hibees though were in no mood to let Hearts have any respite. They made sure that Daniel Stendel became the first manager since 1937 to lose their opening four games in charge of Hearts.
A Martin Boyle double in the first half was all it took to secure the 2-0 win. It was a professional display against a Jambos side who failed to threatened their neighbours consistently all afternoon.
It’s a result that leaves Hearts four points off safety. A big January is needed if the unthinkable is to be prevented, Hearts dropping back into the Championship.

Some Hearts fans have reacted to the defeat to Hibs in Gorgie.
Better second half but still not a team that is going to get us out this relegation battle! Feel sorry for the manager! Still trust in him but we really need to sort out every department! Build from the back! Start with a keeper with confidence! Heart break again, Sick of it!!

Magic. Made even better knowing that Levein will be in charge of binning the garbage he brought in.

It’s the hope that things can improve that kills us. This mess will take more than a season to put right. We won’t be able to get anyone out in January so I can’t see many changes during the transfer window.

4 games in and he is still playing the same wrong players who are woefully out of their depth. There are 6 or 7 of today’s team that should be dropped immediately and fingers crossed some other club will take them off our wage bill.

Apologies in advance to my 7-year old nephew for the Aberdeen ticket I got him as part of his Christmas present. Worse than a lump of coal.

I can accept a Hearts team that doesn't have the quality of others.
I cannot accept a Hearts team that doesn't show any fight.
Fight is one of the basics I except for £400 quid a year.@JamTarts
