Hearts secured a major boost in their fight for survival last night with a big win over neighbours Hibs.
Going into this game off the back of a shock Scottish Cup win over Rangers, the Jambos had some belief that they could topple a Hibs team who had only lost once post-winter break.
After a compact first half, Daniel Stendel’s men turned on the style during the remaining 45 minutes. Sean Clare got things going from the penalty spot six minutes after the restart before Oliver Bozanic doubled their lead.
It was going according to plan and Conor Washington’s strike ten minutes from time capped off a truly stunning night for the Tynecastle club. Melker Hallberg got a consolation for Hibs in the dying embers.
It’s a result which moves Hearts off bottom, getting them closer to St Mirren and safety in tenth. Stendel’s men have proven that they can take their game to high heights when they are on top form and some Hearts fans have been left delighted with this fantastic showing.

Didn't miss Souttar at all tonight. Dikamona has sloted in there just nicely and is exactly what we need. Won absolutely everything. Please please please use this as a move up Hearts!!! 🇱🇻❤💯

You know what pleases me the most, even more than the Derby win itself? The way we made it look absolutely never in doubt. 👌🏼 Like, came here, strolled through the park, put three past them, enjoyed that, left. Cigar and slippers staff.

Sean Clare is obviously a runaway leader for most improved under Stendel, but a lot of credit has to go to the Dikamonas, Damours and Bozzies of this side. Men who have stepped out of the shadows and delivered at crucial moments this week. Long may it continue.
