Hearts slipped to an embarrassing 1-1 draw with East Fife recently. They couldn’t even save face in the bonus point penalty shootout, losing 7-6.
They’ve been far from convincing throughout their four League Cup matches but this was by far the worst performance. Craig Levein has to work out a way to get his side firing ahead of next week’s Premiership opener against Aberdeen.

Some Hearts fans wouldn’t give him the chance to do so though and want Levein to go after their East Fife mishap.
We expect Craig Leveins immediate resignation this evening Hearts

Levein out. I’ll tweet this every game. It’s fucking embarrassing we’re still stuck with this clown in charge.
Since January:
10 wins in 90 mins (5 against lower league teams)
6 draws in 90 mins (3 against lower league teams)
11 lossesEnough is enough. #HMFC

Get him out now, before naismith comes in and papers over the cracks. #leveinout

Levein won’t be sacked by Hearts in the near future
The Jambos were pretty shocking against East Fife. They haven’t got a clinical forward who’s fit and able to play just now in the absence of Steven Naismith.
There are various problems all over the park, but the support for Levein to be ousted from his position at Hearts is growing.

This result will have put many in the ‘Levein out’ camp and with good reason. What the Gorgie faithful have been made to watch at times during this group stage is nothing short of eye bleeding stuff.
Given that he is also Director of Football at Tynecastle though, it would be a big shock if Ann Budge and the Jambos hierarchy moved to sack him. Getting rid of Levein will be a worse case scenario situation for Budge.
Some may want his head now, but Levein will be around Gorgie for a while yet most likely. On the basis of Hearts’ East Fife performance, supporters might as well strap themselves in, it’s going to be a bumpy ride these next few weeks and potentially months.
