Hibs have announced their seventh summer signing, former Bolton midfielder Josh Vela.
The midfielder joins following a lengthy spell with the Trotters on a three-year deal. Manager Paul Heckingbottom seems to have moved on quickly from the Funso Ojo disappointment.

Vela’s got the potential to be a decent player for Hibs. Some Hibees supporters have reacted to the news.

Vela will be a Hibs fans favourite
Amidst the positivity of the former Trotter signing for the Easter Road club, there has been the occasional response claiming to not know who Vela is or asking the club to announce Stephane Omeonga.
Some don’t appreciate yet how good of a player they have on their hands. You only have to look to the midfielder’s farewell Bolton Twitter post to see what fans of his former club think of him.

He fights tooth and nail for his cause, with Vela’s ability on the ball unprecedented. The 25-year-old can play anywhere in midfield, from in front of the back four, to a number 10 role.
Overall Vela made 182 Bolton appearances. The club’s troubles off the park and his own personal lack of first-team minutes have pushed him north to Leith.
Hibs have a good one on their hands. Vela should be able to bring much needed battling qualities to the Hibees engine room.
