Hibs winger Martin Boyle faces another lengthy spell out on the sidelines, the Easter Road side have confirmed.
The Australian had just returned from a knee injury that ended his 2018/19 campaign in December.

He picked up a knee injury once again in a recent League Cup match against Elgin City. Boyle was swiftly taken off by the Hibees medical staff. Now the club have said he’ll be out for the ‘foreseeable future’.
Some Hibs fans have sent messages of support to the Australian.

Terrible luck for Hibs man Boyle
After just coming through months of preparation to come back from a knee injury, this is an unfortunate setback for the Australian.

He’ll have been desperate to get back into the team and contribute on a regular basis. Paul Heckingbottom was most likely relishing his return too.
Hibs don’t have much pace in the side. In the past couple of League Cup games, Boyle has added that pace on the flanks. To lose an effective outlet like that for the ‘foreseeable future’ is a damaging blow for both player and club.
Hopefully the Australian can recover quickly and get back to doing what he does best. Taking on defenders and running down the wing with his searing pace.

In the meantime, Heckingbottom has to assess his winger options and how best to replace his injury-hit wideman.
