Kilmarnock have shocked their fans and Scottish football by moving to sack manager Angelo Alessio.
The Italian only took over six months ago following Steve Clarke’s glorious reign. Whilst they haven’t reached those levels this season, they have been fairly steady after a disastrous start against Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Currently fifth in the table, Killie aren’t doing too badly this term. It’s why fans have been left stunned by the news of the former Chelsea assistant’s departure.
A club statement reads: “Kilmarnock Football Club Limited can today announce that Angelo Alessio has been relieved of his position as Manager.
WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Angelo for his efforts during his time with Kilmarnock and we wish him every success for the future. Alex Dyer will take charge of first-team duties on an interim basis.

“We will provide a further update for supporters in due course.
Alessio’s league record stands at six wins, five draws and seven defeats. Some Kilmarnock fans have reacted to the startling news.
Unless Sir Steve is free again, this is a poor decision..

Happy.
We were playing toothless football!
Struggling to create or take any chances.
No attacking prowess…— Bawzburzt (@bawzburstis) December 17, 2019
He won the manager of the month in November and a month later he has been sacked all because of a bad few results us Killie fans knew from the get go when Clarke departed we was never going to repeat last seasons heroics harsh decision and wrong timing to sack him also. 🙄🔵⚪💙

Thought he was doin ok. Defence alright. We needed a striker. Seems bit harsh.

Easy to forget that from last season Killie lost Daniel Bachmann, Aaron Tshibola Jordan Jones, Greg Taylor, Youssouf Mulumbu + Kirk Broadfoot. Add in the influence of Kris Boyd, Findlay being out since October – that's a lot.
Still fifth with the third best defence in the league
