There will be a familiar look to the Northampton Town forward line for SPFL fans, Leeds United loaning Ryan Edmondson to the Cobblers while Mickel Miller joins from Rotherham United.
Both forwards are known to Scottish football, Edmondson spending the first half of this term at Aberdeen on loan from Leeds United. Miller meanwhile made a summer move to the Millers following a fruitful stint at Hamilton Accies.
But now they will join Keith Curle’s side in League One, who are currently looking to survive in the division following their promotion from League Two. Curle is delighted to have Aberdeen’s former Leeds United loanee and Brian Rice’s ex-forward.
He said: “Ryan has a lot of excellent attributes and I am really pleased we are able to bring him to the club. He is a mobile, hard working, aggressive centre forward. He has a hunger and a desire to score goals and he is capable of scoring different types of goals.
“Beyond that, he is someone who can link play well, he also has an excellent work ethic and is someone willing to go the extra mile for the team. He is a player we spotted a while ago and have tracked for some time, we tried to sign him in the last transfer window.
“Mickel is a player we have been tracking for some time and we are delighted to be able to bring him to the club. I like his attitude and his desire. He was willing to take the chance of moving up from London to Scotland early in his career to take the opportunity of joining Hamilton and that sort of character is something that appeals to me. We think he is an excellent fit for us.”
