St Johnstone have been handed a boost ahead of their Scottish Premiership clash against Celtic on Saturday.
The Saints host the champions in the late kick-off on Saturday and head into the match without a permanent manager.
Craig Levein was sacked by owner Adam Webb who clearly wasn’t impressed with the club’s start to the season.
St Johnstone currently sit third bottom in the Premiership with just one win from six games. They lost their last three before Levein was sacked but did pick up a point against Ross County last time out.
Facing Celtic is the last fixture they need at this point but interim management team Andy Kirk and Alec Cleland will be buoyed news coming out of Lennoxtown on Friday.

Cameron Carter-Vickers to miss St Johnstone clash
According to Sky Sports Scotland, Hoops centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers was posted missing at Lennoxtown as Celtic trained ahead of the game tomorrow.
Manager Brendan Rodgers then confirmed to the media that the American definitely won’t play against the Perth Saints due to an issue with his big toe.
It’s welcome news for St Johnstone given how crucial Carter-Vickers is at the heart of Celtic’s defence.
However, given the resources Celtic have in their squad, a quality replacement will be found with Auston Trusty and Stephen Welsh waiting in the wings.
Watch St Johnstone training ahead of Celtic
Andy Kirk and Alec Cleland took St Johnstone training for the last time before Saturday’s game against the Hoops.
The squad were put through their paces at the club’s training ground situated right next to McDiarmid Park in Perth.
