St Johnstone welcome back two players for Celtic Park trip

St Johnstone will bring captain Jason Kerr and right-back Danny McNamara back into the fold away to Celtic this weekend.

The Saints face a Celtic side with their backs against the wall on Sunday. They have won just two of their last 11 games and pressure at Celtic Park resulted in fan protests last weekend.

Now it’s St Johnstone who will look to add to their misery, although Callum Davidson will be under no illusions that his side will still be up against it in Glasgow.

He’ll welcome back two key defenders for this though in a boost to the cause. Kerr will recover in time from a back injury that kept him out of matches with Hibs and Motherwell.

McNamara meanwhile hasn’t featured since the game against Hibs on November 24. His injury problems are over also and he will return to the Saints squad at Celtic Park.

Murray Davidson may feature following his concussion in the Premiership match with Motherwell a few weeks ago while Craig Conway misses out with a broken nose sustained in the same match.
