St Mirren have signed three new players ahead of the 2021/22 Scottish Premiership, signing Curtis Main, Greg Kiltie and Scott Tanser, beating the likes of Sheffield Wednesday to the latter.

Tanser joins St Mirren on a one-year deal with the option of an additional 12 months, following time at St Johnstone. Several clubs down south – including Sheffield Wednesday – were said to be keen on the left-back but the Paisley club have secured his signature in an impressive coup.

Main was the first signing on Monday for St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin, signing a two-year deal. The striker is a familiar face to fans in Paisley after spells at Motherwell and Aberdeen. Main last with Shrewsbury Town.

Kiltie also joins St Mirren on a two-year deal after ending his lengthy association with Kilmarnock following their relegation to the Scottish Championship. St Mirren finished seventh last season in an impressive term for Goodwin’s team that also had them reach two cup semi-finals. They have already signed Charles Dunne from Motherwell.
