St Mirren have offered Aston Villa academy graduate Jake Doyle-Hayes a final contract this week as talks continue over his future.
Doyle-Hayes has impressed at St Mirren since arriving from Aston Villa in 2020, but only signed a one-year deal at the start of the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season. Doyle-Hayes’ deal in Paisley came off the back of form on loan at Cheltenham Town, where the midfielder was nicknamed ‘the Irish Xavi.’
The 22-year-old has been offered a new deal to stay in Paisley for next season but the former Aston Villa player not committed his future to the club yet. St Mirren are still in contract talks with Dylan Connolly while Ilkay Durmus will leave the club.
