Hearts attacker Steven Naismith has made a somewhat surprising statement about his future at the Tynecastle club.
The striker has admitted that he does not yet know if he will still be Hearts player next season. He has disclosed that the chances are that he will be a Hearts player next season. However, nothing is sorted until the signs a contract.
“To be honest, I don’t know” Naismith said, as reported by Football Scotland when asked if he will be a Hearts player next season.

“I’ve enjoyed it”
“I’ve enjoyed it so much there it looks probably I’ll be playing but a lot of the things in a contract take time.”
Hearts boss Craig Levein has previously indicated that he expects Naismith to sign a deal to stay a Hearts player next season.

The striker is currently a free agent after being released by Norwich. However, he has spent the last 18 months on loan at Hearts.
Bit of a worry for the support

It must be a bit of a worry to Hearts fans that Naismith is can talk to other clubs. However, he did state that he would ‘probably’ be at Tynecastle next season, so that must slightly calm any fears that he will leave the club.
Naismith was excellent for Hearts last season, scoring 14 goals despite some severe injury problems.
All at Tynecastle will be hoping that a deal is secured to keep him at Hearts sooner rather than later.
