Lawrence Shankland has been the subject of relentless speculation in recent times- and Stoke City are next to be named as a reported suitor.

A recent report has claimed the Potters are interested in a deal for the Dundee United forward (Scottish Sun). It’s stated that the minimum they’ll need to bid for Shankland is £3 million.

Dundee United’s prolific frontman only arrived in the summer after a clinical spell at Ayr United. He scored 61 goals in 73 games at Somerset Park.

Stoke will watch Shankland in action

This season he’s netted 25 in 25 for the Tangerines. His latest saved United from the clutches of defeat, netting a late equaliser as Robbie Neilson’s side drew with Morton 1-1.

QPR are another side reportedly tracking the hitman. Les Ferdinand has personally watched Shankland twice in the last month for the Loftus Road side reportedly.

Stoke have also been linked with Aberdeen’s Sam Cosgrove. In terms of Shankland, only a big bid will tempt United to part with their serial goalscorer.
