Stuart Kettlewell provided a brave statement after he was sacked by Ross County shortly after the match with Hamilton on Saturday, Celtic to come next for the Staggies.
A 2-0 defeat to Hamilton on Saturday left the team Kettlewell is strongly associated with cut adrift by four points at the bottom. John Hughes has taken over until the end of the season, taking charge against Celtic on Wednesday.

Kettlewell has just short of 10 years of memories with the Staggies as a player, youth coach, co-manager and solo boss. But as a poor run of form leaves them scrapping at the bottom, his time is up.
To his credit, he spoke to the press just minutes after his sacking in a show of courage. He’s thanked all associated with Ross County for their efforts and wishes them well for the future.
“It is a sore one as I want to fight and scrap and do the best I can for the football club,” he said. “I have done that for a long period of time but results aren’t good enough and we find ourselves bottom of the table and cut ourselves adrift on the back of the result.
