Neil Critchley has provided some fresh injury news on Stephen Kingsley, Frankie Kent and Beni Baningime as Hearts face Dundee in the Premiership.

Saturday’s clash is a big one with the Jambos aiming to move off the bottom of the table with a victory in Gorgie.

Hibs are one place ahead in 11th and play Celtic in Glasgow so it’s a massive opportunity for Critchley’s men to start to climb up the league.

Critchley spoke to the press on Friday ahead of the game and as reported by Hearts Standard and the Daily Record, he delivered updates on the injury front.

Stephen Kingsley

The Hearts defender was left writhing in pain against Aberdeen on Sunday after seriously injuring his hamstring.

Kingsley had to be stretchered off and will require surgery – as a result, he will be sidelined for several months.

It’s being reported the Hearts medical team are hopeful he can return before the end of the season.

Frankie Kent

The centre-back was another forced off the Tynecastle pitch at the weekend after feeling a problem with his quad muscle.

But Critchley has said that Kent trained during the week and is in contention for selection against the Dee.

Beni Baningime

Baningime is a key player in the middle of the pitch for Hearts but has missed a number of games this season due to injury and illness.

It’s being said that the 26-year-old trained for Hearts on Thursday but wasn’t able to on Friday due to a knee problem.

It sounds unlikely he’ll make the Dundee matchday squad as a consequence.
