Falkirk have announced the signing of Josh Todd from Dundee on an 18-month contract.
Lee Miller and David McCracken have kept themselves busy this window. Already they have brought Rafa De Vita and Ben Hall to the Bairns in their quest for the League One title.
Todd is the next recruit. Having started his career at Carlisle United, his big break came with Annan Athletic. He made over 100 appearances there before a move to Dumbarton was followed by a St Mirren switch.
Queen of the South on loan was next for Todd before he penned a pre-contract with Dundee last year. He’s featured 18 times this season, with 13 of those coming in league action.
He could go straight into their squad to face Arbroath this afternoon. The Bairns travel to Gayfield in hope of continuing their Scottish Cup run, having beaten Linlithgow Rose 4-0 in the last round.
McCracken reckons that Todd could be a key player for the club, both short and long-term: “We are delighted to welcome Josh to the club, we have tracked him for some time now and we are really pleased to get the deal over the line.
“We know Josh from his time with Dumbarton, St Mirren and Queen of the South. He has always been a threat any time we have watched him play and we believe he can be a big part of our plans for both this season and next.”
