Kazaiah Sterling has returned to Tottenham Hotspur as his loan spell with Greenock Morton is brought to a premature end.
The Tottenham Hotspur loanee wasn’t in the Ton squad last Friday night as Gus MacPherson’s side were eliminated from the Scottish Cup by Motherwell. MacPherson had previously said that his squad was too big for the Scottish Championship.
Sterling arrived in the winter transfer window on loan for the rest of the season. Then-interim manager Anton McElhone had worked with the striker before, having been a fitness coach at Tottenham Hotspur while Sterling broke into the professional game.
He has featured nine times for Morton since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur without scoring a goal, although his only display lasting 90 minutes against Inverness CT helped secure a crucial 1-0 win that could be key to the Ton’s league survival.
