Ayr United goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo has earned his first Finland U21s call-up following his move to Somerset Park from Aston Villa.

The Villans regard the teenage goalkeeper as one of the most exciting in Europe for his age. But senior exposure was needed, so Aston Villa have sent him to Ayr for the 2020/21 campaign.

He has been manager Mark Kerr’s number one this season as the Honest Men push for the Championship promotion play-offs once again.

His performances have caught the eye of his national team, Sinisalo called up to the Finland youth side for the first time.

When on the international scene, he will link up with stars from Italian giants Inter Milan and German side Hamburger SV.
