Adam Lewis has joined Livingston from Liverpool – and back in 2017, Steven Gerrard admitted he hadn’t ‘seen anyone as good as him at that age.’

Gerrard – now Rangers manager – was Liverpool U18s manager before joining the Scottish Premiership, the former midfielder an icon at Anfield. Now 21, Gerrard clearly saw something special in the versatile left-back who has joined Livingston on a season-long loan.

Lewis spent last season on loan at French side Amiens and League One Plymouth Argyle. But Liverpool icon Gerrard said of Livi’s Lewis less than four years ago (LFC): “Adam’s been doing it for us all season long and I’ve been singing his praises all along. If Adam can keep this consistency up I don’t think he’ll be around this team for much longer.

“I want to keep him for as long as I can, but for me, he’s such a threat on the left side. Going forward, I haven’t seen anyone as good as him at that age, in terms of quality and what he can deliver in the final third.”
