There’s another Scotsman plying his trade overseas after Liverpool prospect and former Falkirk talent Tony Gallacher made his MLS debut.
Primarily a left-back, Gallacher made a big switch to Liverpool in 2018 following impressive form for the Bairns. It netted Falkirk a nice £200,000 fee at the time and another financial add-on of at least £100,000 earlier this year when he made a big step.

Gallacher made his senior Reds debut in January during a Carabao Cup semi-final match against Aston Villa.
With almost all of the senior Liverpool players out in the middle east for the Club World Cup, a youth team was fielded in domestic competition, meaning Falkirk’s former star got a big break at senior level.
He’s moved to the MLS with Toronto FC now though to gain regular senior experience after time in the Liverpool academy structure. The left-back played 61 minutes on a good debut appearance.
Helping his new side keep a clean sheet, an Alejandro Pozuelo penalty in the last minute earned three points for Greg Vanney’s side against New York City. It’s a decent start for the Liverpool prospect, Toronto sitting fourth in the league table currently.
