There hasn’t been much to shout about regarding Falkirk’s season so far – but the signing of Zak Rudden on loan has been one of the few positives for the Bairns.
As the fight to secure their Championship status for next season – keeping the on-loan Rangers striker beyond the summer must be a priority.

Since his arrival at the Falkirk Stadium, Rudden has scored nine times in 18 appearances for the Bairns.
Originally signing on a six-month loan deal, it was extended last month until the end of the season.
As clubs now start to cast one eye onto next season, Ray McKinnon should be making contact with the Gers.

It seems unlikely that Rudden will make the leap to the first-team at Ibrox in the summer and keeping him at Falkirk will suit all parties.
The 19-year-old will be desperate to continue playing senior football rather than reserve games in front of 30 fans while Falkirk will benefit from having such a prolific scorer stay with them.

Rudden is well bedded in at Falkirk now too and that consistency can only help the teen fulfil his undoubted potential.
Keeping him at Falkirk beyond the summer would be a fantastic bit of business by the Bairns and really help them achieve their aims next season.
