Arsenal star Kieran Tierney has been set a return date of June 1st if he is to be fit for Scotland’s push at Euro 2020.
The defender picked up knee ligament damage in a recent Arsenal defeat to Liverpool earlier this month, the Gunners confirming the injury would rule him out for 4-6 weeks. But manager Mikel Arteta has since confirmed he will be out for the rest of the domestic season.
Scotland’s Euro 2020 campaign kicks off in under eight weeks time against Czech Republic and the Arsenal star is in race against time to be fit for the nation’s first major tournament since 1998. Now a deadline has been set.
June 1st at 11PM is the time and date Scotland manager Steve Clarke must submit his squad for Euro 2020. Squads for the tournament are likely to be around 26, an increase of three on previous competitions.
Scotland will warm-up for the tournament with matches against Netherlands on June 2 and Luxembourg on June 6, the Arsenal star needing to be fit by this point.
