Former Scotland international Charlie Adam says Chelsea star Billy Gilmour has ‘pressure’ on him following a Man of the Match display against England.
The 20-year-old Chelsea midfielder’s performance in Scotland’s second group game at Euro 2020 helped his side to a 0-0 draw, meaning the nation will play Croatia tonight for a place in the knockout stages. A win is enough to see Scotland through, but Gilmour won’t be available, testing positive for Covid-19 in a gut-wrenching blow.

Dundee man and former Scotland ace Adam reckons the England display is just the start for Gilmour (BBC): “The Scottish Xavi is what we call him now. The pressure is on him now, he’s a 20-year-old kid at Chelsea. He set up a great chance for Che Adams and he doesn’t give up. He has the hunger and desire to get back for his team.
“He shows great composure, recycling the ball and building confidence on the ball. He broke the play up by fouling Harry Kane, great play. He wants to pass it forward, he is always looking forward. He wants to drive forward. He was colossal for me.”
