David Marshall has been given a welcome fitting for a hero at Derby County after his Scotland heroics.
The veteran Derby keeper made himself a national icon last Thursday night, saving a crucial penalty to seal Euro 2020 qualification for Scotland in a 5-4 spot-kick battle against Serbia.
It’s resulted in mass praise after his work in Belgrade but now the focus must turn to domestic action, with Derby County facing a massive match on Saturday.
Wayne Rooney is in interim charge of the Rams and the iconic English forward’s first game is against Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.
Marshall will likely be the man between the sticks and his teammates at Pride Park have welcomed him back in some style. The keeper arrived in the dressing room to his name sung, dancing and party cannons.

It is a fitting tribute for Marshall after he left his teammates and Scotland as a whole very emotional last Thursday night.
