Scotland have been given a huge boost ahead of the second Group D match at Euro 2020, with Arsenal star Kieran Tierney travelling with the squad to face England (STV).
Tierney missed Monday’s 2-0 Scotland defeat to Czech Republic, which was the nation’s first game at a major tournament since 1998. The Arsenal left-back – who plays left-centre-back for Scotland – picked up a calf injury before the match and was replaced by Leeds United captain Liam Cooper.
He has been in and out of training this week but Steve Clarke has got the Arsenal star on the bus to face England tomorrow night. It is a huge occasion, with Scotland needing a positive result to boost knockout round qualification hopes.
England won their opening game Euro 2020 game 1-0 against Croatia and Scotland will face the 2018 World Cup finalists next week after the London meeting. Having Tierney fit for the Wembley battle would provide the nation and manager Clarke with a massive boost ahead of an 8PM kick-off.
