Manchester City talent Lewis Fiorini, currently on loan at NAC Breda, has received a late call-up to the Scotland U21s squad.
The attack-minded star is plying his trade in the Dutch second tier this season as Manchester City look to build up senior experience for him. It earned him a first call-up to the most senior Scotland youth side.
Fiorini wasn’t selected in the initial squad to face Croatia and Greece this month but has now had the call from Scott Gemmill to link up with Scotland once more.
Since joining NAC Breda on loan from Manchester City, Fiorini has featured seven times, scoring once and assisting once.
Despite receiving a couple of U21s call-ups, Fiorini is still waiting on a debut.
It’s two huge matches for Scotland as they look to qualify for the U21s European Championship. Victories over Croatia and Greece could send them top of their qualification group after beating Czech Republic and San Marino in October.
