Manchester City are undergoing a Scottish youth drive as several talents are handed new contracts and professional terms with the English Premier League champions.
Scotland U21s goalkeeper Cieran Slicker has signed a new deal until the summer of 2024, following on from fellow U21s player Lewis Fiorini signing a contract until 2026. Josh Adam, Adedire Mebude and Liam Smith have all penned their first professional deals with Manchester City.

Smith signed for Manchester City last year in a £200,000 deal from cinch Championship club Kilmarnock. He has been training with the Etihad side’s academy and now signs professional terms, having been rated highly as a potential first-team player by Kilmarnock.
Fiorini and Slicker are rated as potential first-team players for Scotland and will play key roles in the U21s set-up during the new rotation of players. Another Manchester City prospect eligible for Scotland has recently transferred to the SPFL, Alexander Robertson signing for Premiership club Ross County on a season-long loan.
