Scott McTominay has been hailed by the Tartan Army after the Manchester United man turned in an out-of-position shift for Scotland.

It puts Scotland second in the World Cup 2022 qualification group, sitting above Austria and Israel with five points, although Denmark are out in front with nine points and 14 goals in three games. The Danes haven’t conceded either.
McTominay has been moved around by Clarke, opting for the Manchester United man in midfield before moving him into right-centre-back in the 3-5-2 system from September last year. In this camp, he has moved back into midfield.
He shone in the draws against Austria and Israel but Clarke picked him in defence for the match against the Faroes, the Manchester United star not disappointing despite the change. It’s earned praise from Scotland fans.
Scott McTominay.
Underrated both domestically and internationally. Top player.

What a player Scott McTominay is btw
Gives you flexibility being able to play in both defence and midfield. Going to be a key player in this side for years to come

Solid performance by @ScotlandNT tonight with Tierney & McTominay outstanding. Let’s get up now for big performances in the Euros and ready to give brilliant Denmark a game come September! pic.twitter.com/AXk5Kph18Q

Best Scotland players this international break in my humble opinion
1. Kieran Tierney
2. John McGinn
3. Scott McTominay— Gordon McGuinness (@PFF_Gordon) March 31, 2021
Scotland now have two world class players. McTominay and Hanley. Clarke smart and getting best out of the group of players

Scott McTominay might get fully transformed into a CB

It's such a good feeling to enjoy Scotland games, can only beat the opposition in front of us.
Tierney was great tonight, good to see Adams score on his debut add to that a midfield containing McTominay and McGinn and and Fraser and things are looking good.#SCOFRO https://t.co/e3WaSvKTwi— Stuart Mclean (@Mag1cMclean77) March 31, 2021
