Scotland have been handed another boost on the injury front as Kieran Tierney steps up his Arsenal recovery.
The left-back suffered a shoulder injury against West Ham and subsequently had surgery to repair the damage. He suffered a dislocated shoulder on December 9th.
Tierney hasn’t featured since and there were doubts over his involvement with Scotland in next month’s Euro 2020 play-off schedule. It appears as if his recovery is progressing nicely at Arsenal though.
He will continue his rehabilitation under Mikel Arteta’s watch. So far this term, injury has plagued the Scotland international. He has only played 12 times in all competitions.
It’s a further boost for Steve Clarke ahead of next month’s Israel game. Scott McTominay has returned to Manchester United training following his ligament issue suffered on Boxing Day against Newcastle.
John McGinn meanwhile could return from a fractured ankle as the Aston Villa star’s recovery enters its latter stages.
