Auchinleck Talbot have pulled off the biggest shock of this season’s Scottish Cup so far, beating Championship side Hamilton 1-0 to book their place in Monday’s fourth-round draw and leave the Accies supporters furious.

Talbot have previous for knocking out SPFL sides, stunning Ayr United two years ago and were joined by Clydebank and Banks O’Dee in knocking out clubs from the SPFL with the Bankies winning against Clyde and Banks O’Dee knocking out East Fife.

All three could now find themselves drawn against a Premiership side on Monday as a reward for their surprise wins – although Accies fans on Twitter insists they saw this afternoon’s humiliation at the hands of the West of Scotland side coming.

Elsewhere, Arbroath were comfortable winners over local rivals Forfar while Raith beat Falkirk 2-1 at the Falkirk Stadium as ex-Bairns Aidan Connelly and Liam Dick faced their old side.

Stirling Albion were the biggest winners of the day, beating Tranent 4-0 at Forthbanl but Inverness v Morton, Cove v Queen of the South and Kelty v Montrose must all go to replays after failing to break the deadlock after 90 minutes.
