Livingston boss David Martindale was full of praise for winger Alan Forrest after he scored the winner over Hibs yesterday, just 48 hours after rejecting a move to St Johnstone.
Despite Livi allowing the wideman to hold talks with St Johnstone, Forrest decided he’d rather remain in West Lothian and fight for his place.

After being named in the starting XI to face Hibs at Easter Road, Forrest hit the winner with an hour played and Martindale was delighted for the former Ayr United star.
“Alan came in on Thursday and told me he didn’t want to go,” Martindale said.
“Wee Al had asked to speak to St Johnstone but I wanted a premium as I didn’t want to sell one of my better players to a rival.
“I accepted the offer and it was all signed at my end but then he came to see me.
“He trained well and he deserves a special mention for that performance. He was brilliant.
“I’ll have a word with him as this is the right club for him going forward.
“When he is in the right headspace you can see what he brings to us.
“It was a tough time for him but he made the right decision and I was so pleased for him.”
