Hibs have started to add to their squad with the arrival of Alasana Manneh and are expected to do more before the deadline.
Manneh has been signed from Danish side OB with manager David Gray, while not wanting to pile pressure on the player, confident his qualities can aid the Hibees with their march up the table.
He is unlikely to feature against Aberdeen at the weekend with red tape still to be cut through, but could get his debut in the Scottish Cup at Ayr United.
Hibs could yet make more additions between now and Monday evening but a loan swoop for Tottenham’s ‘phenomenal’ Tyrese Gray has been ruled out.
But could there be any outgoings from Easter Road?
Luke Amos is a likely Hibs departure after confirming he was hopeful of finding a new club having not really featured.
But the club have also received a bid for someone who would be considered a key man.

Hibs rebuff Blackburn Rovers Youan offer
Blackburn Rovers’ bid for Elie Youan was first reported by the Sun’s Alan Nixon on his patreon.
Not the Old Firm now understands that this was genuine and an initial approach was in fact received by the Easter Road men.
But the English Championship side are thought to be determined and could come back in with an improved offer.
Plymouth’s Ibrahim Cissoko is also on Rovers’ radar as an alternative but that one could be trickier with Argyle perhaps reluctant to let him go after selling Morgan Whittaker to Middlesbrough.
Youan has previously been the subject of interest from Stoke City and also back home in France, where there was a
Is Youan fit?
After a slower start to the season and an injury, Youan enjoyed a run back in the Hibs side and was getting back to his best.
But he suffered another setback and has missed the last five Premiership matches plus the cup win over Clydebank.
He is nearing a comeback but unlikely to be ready to feature against Aberdeen this weekend.
Manager David Gray gave a triple Hibs injury update, and said on Youan: “Elie got back on the grass early last week but still wasn’t right. So it’s been scanned, it’s been x-rayed, and then the next plan of action was to get an injection.
“So everything’s OK, no break showed up on the scans, it’s just a bit of a chronic thing. Unfortunately, it takes three to five days to settle in for the healing process, which isn’t ideal because it’s pushed him back another week.
“So now he’s been out for, what’s that, four weeks? So he starts to decondition as well, which is a bit of a blow. I don’t think he’ll be available for Aberdeen because of the timing.”
