Kimpioka on way out of St Johnstone

Benji Kimpioka is set to complete a £200,000 move away from St Johnstone to Belgian side OH Leuven, according to the Scottish Sun.

Saints top scorer Kimpioka only has months left on his deal and had put other clubs on alert by shunning St Johnstone contract talks.

Instead of losing him for nothing in the summer, the Premiership side will sanction his exit to Belgium and bring in £200k.

There had previously been reported interest from Israel and Switzerland.

Leuven are managed by Chris Coleman, who was Kimpioka’s boss at Sunderland.

Jack Sanders could also leave after Not the Old Firm revealed interest in him as well as St Johnstone teammate Andre Raymond.

Saints have announced one arrival in Latvian defender Daniels Badolis and he said: “I am really happy to get this deal done and I can’t wait to get started.

“I can’t wait to see and meet all of the fans at the stadium. It will be a lovely moment to all be together. I have seen the football atmosphere in Scotland and I’m looking forward to playing in this league.

“Firstly, I am a defender who wants to defend. After that I like to help the team build forward up the pitch.”

Hearts and Hibs monitor McGrath

Hearts and Hibs are both reportedly taking a look at Jamie McGrath, who is out of contract at Aberdeen come the season’s end.

The attacking midfielder is currently injured after starting the season on fire and also has interest from the US.

Thelin’s Aberdeen admission

Jimmy Thelin admits Aberdeen may need to recruit another midfielder after McGrath’s injury but the timescale could be difficult.

He explained: “It’s also in the mix. You also have to think about the long-term and trust the players here and try to find solutions with the squad you have. And don’t panic.

“But let’s see what we’re going to do. If we’re going to have some more or not in the window this time.”

It comes as Aberdeen allowed left-back James McGarry to join Greek side Kallithea on loan.

Dundee United departure

Dundee United youngster Alan Domeracki has been sold to Norwich City.

The teen midfielder joins the Canaries for an undisclosed fee, believed to e six-figure and coming with future add-ons.
