Leicester City’s James Maddison has revealed he has nothing but good memories of his time at Aberdeen.
Maddsion spent the first half of the 2016-17 season on-loan at the Dons. During that time he scored two goals, one of which was a memorable last minute winner against Rangers.
He looked back at that time fondly on his personal Twitter account, claiming that the goal was a ‘moment I’ll never forget’ and that he ‘loved my time up with the Dons’.
Moment I’ll never forget that, tell you that for free 🙌🏼👍🏼 Loved my time up with the Dons 🔴 https://t.co/MJ5Fa8CqN1

Maddison was never going to be at Aberdeen for long, as he eventually returned to Norwich and has since joined Leicester City. His career has gone from strength to strength since then, culminating in an England call-up.
Perhaps Aberdeen should once again try to bring in player on loan, whose career is on an upwards trajectory. Obviously it can’t happen this season, but it is a policy that the Dons and other Scottish clubs can get some success from.
Maddsion was only at Aberdeen for half a season, yet he made a big impression on the team and the fans. Derek McIness should look to replicate the success he had with Maddison with another loan purchase in the summer.
It could well be a difference-maker for the Dons going forward.
