How did Ojo get on during his first match in Aberdeen red?

Ojo gets pass marks on his Aberdeen debut

In the first half Ojo was lucky to still be on the park. Just after the 20 minute mark he put in a hard tackle on Davit Maisashvili that sent him flying. The Belgian Don was booked, although it could have been red on another day.

He then gave away a penalty, but that was hardly his fault. He seemed to make minimal contact with Chikhura forward Irakli Lekvtadze in the box, yet the striker went down in dramatic fashion.

The referee pointed to the spot and Ojo, quite rightly, was shocked it had been given. Chikhura got in front via this poor decision and Ojo became the victim of bad refereeing.

He seemed too keen to dive into tackles, but overall, Ojo was decent.  It was his first game of the season, so he was a little rusty. However, he made some nice passes in what was a scrappy game and he tried to get the ball forward where possible.

Overall he gets pass marks. He’ll feel hard done by because of the penalty. Apart from that he didn’t do too badly, but Ojo has to cut out the constant fouling that riddled his game in Georgia.
