The team sheets are in as Dingwall plays host to a rare Sunday evening meeting between Ross County and Celtic.
John Hughes has made multiple changes to the side that lost 2-0 to Dundee United, Alex Iacovitti, Charlie Lakin, Michael Gardyne and Blair Spittal among those coming in, the latter for a first start following a loan at Partick Thistle. Leo Hjelde is unavailable against his parent club as Scott Brown comes back into the Celtic side for Ismaila Soro, Tom Rogic replacing Albian Ajeti.
It’s the Staggies’ first game in 15 days after last weekend’s match with Hibs at the Global Energy stadium was postponed. Celtic meanwhile have played three games since Hughes’ men last kicked a ball, winning five on the spin overall.
County defender Callum Morris isn’t shying away from the potential of a huge defensive shift: “I enjoy it when your back is against the wall, if anything I think I probably play better when it’s like that. Like the St Mirren game when we went down to nine men, I really enjoyed that even though we got beat.
“The games where you are tested are always the best in my eyes, I don’t think it’s beneficial to anyone when you are just cruising about, because if your mind isn’t on it, or you are not switched on, you are liable to make mistakes. So, I’d definitely say I’d rather be active in the game than not so.”
Here are the teams that will take to the field this evening.
Ross County XI
Laidlaw, Naismith, Iacovitti, Tremarco, Kelly, Morris, Gardyne, Lakin, Spittal, Andreu, White
