Arbroath and Falkirk will do battle again as the sides played out a Scottish Cup stalemate.
Both the Red Litchies and The Bairns progressed past Auchinleck Talbot and Linlithgow Rose respectively to meet each other in the last 32. The first 15 minutes were chances few and far between. Some good linkup play between Falkirk duo Declan McManus and Connor Sammon was as good as it got for either team.

Morgaro Gomis had a couple of chances but nothing could separate either side in the first half. McManus then had a good opportunity saved by Derek Gaston just before the hour mark.
Scott Stewart and Sammon again had chances as both sides tried to find that crucial winner. Bairns attackers Rafa De Vita and David McMillan were introduced from the bench whilst Dick Campbell brought on Gavin Swankie and Logan Chalmers to provide fresh attacking impetus.
Nothing could separate them though as the match ended in a stalemate. It’s another midweek away trip for part-time Arbroath to negotiate, with a tricky trip to Alloa to come next Tuesday.

For Falkirk, whilst not the perfect outcome, it’s a decent enough result. Taking the tie to the Falkirk Stadium will give them a boost as they look to join fellow League One side Clyde in the round of 16.
Both sides will be in tomorrow’s fifth round draw after their Gayfield stalemate.
