Sean Mackie’s red card was the start of Hibs’ capitulation, as the home side went on to score four in the second half after this point.
It was a terrible afternoon for Paul Heckingbottom’s men and they’ll need to be prepared for scathing criticism.
Some Hibs fans have react to their side’s Rangers hammering.
every single fan that went needs a refund that’s a joke

Heckingbottom shouldn't survive this. He's wasted the entire budget this summer on absolute dross. Thankfully we had secured Scott Allan before his arrival.

Disgusting attitude from the players to fold like that just because you have 10 men. The manager set up is awful once again against the old firm . Shocker

At least Hecky is happy with the squad we’ve got

Heckingbottom is under pressure after Hibs’ Rangers hammering
People have questioned how good this Hibs side really are early on. A disappointing Stirling Albion draw in the League Cup worried some, before three comfortable victories did their best to quell some early season nerves.

Against St Mirren they got the job done, but it wasn’t convincing. The Buddies were arguably the better team in stages. This match at Ibrox would be a test of what this team are made of.
Even factoring in the fact they had ten men for most of the second half, they failed spectacularly. Heckingbottom’s men were second to everything, and if it weren’t for Ofir Marciano, this could’ve been a cricket score.
Heckingbottom is now under pressure. People were already questioning some of his signings after a few games, but the spotlight is going to be on him now for sure.

Under the Englishman, the Hibees have won just one game out of nine against top six sides. His ability to beat teams of a similar level to Hibs is pretty poor.
That has to improve. For a team like Hibs, they shouldn’t be conceding six goals to anyone. They must prove they are better than this in the coming weeks.
